2010 WLA Program Proposal Deadline

The deadline for program proposals for the 2010 WLA Conference is quickly approaching (March 1)! There are great program ideas out there... please consider putting something together and submitting those ideas to the programming committee! You can do this by going to WYLA.org or just click http://wyla.org/confcommittee/form/form.php.

Also if all ya'll have programming ideas, please feel free to share these with Sue Knesel( sknesel@will.state.wy.us ). She is always sittin' on the corral fence lookin for great ideas!

So Cowboy Up Ya'll! Sue Knesel and her programming team are saddled up and a-rarin' to go!

Book Award Voting now open through March 15th

Voting for the three Wyoming Book Awards must be in by March 15. Ballots are available through the wyla.org website (see below). Gather your students' votes and nominations and enter them through the website before March 15. HAVE FUN!

Become a Librarian Scholarship Deadlines

The Wyoming State Library will award at least 10 scholarships to Wyoming residents - 6 for MLIS degrees and 4 for Library Media Endorsements. Details are on the State Library website: http://will.state.wy.us/grant.html

If you are interested in earning a MLIS degree, February 1st is the deadline for applying to the distance program at the University of North Texas. You must be accepted by UNT by March 15th to be eligible for a SWIM scholarship. The deadline for submitting your scholarship application is March 15th.

If you are interested in earning the Library Media Endorsement, February 1st is the deadline for applying to the distance program at Black Hills State University, Montana State University, or the University of Montana. You must be accepted by BHSU, MSU, or UM by March 15th to be eligible for a SWIM scholarship. The deadline for submitting your scholarship application is March 15th.
